MARKETING DIRECTOR
My main role is to form new relationships as well as to nurture existing relationships with members of our community – whether they are clients and their families, prospective clients, or other people we may be able impact. I love getting to know people, and then connecting them with those who could best serve them.
Prior to joining PFG Advisors, I was the Director of Admissions for a private Christian school in Lubbock. It was fun to work hard and achieve some growth there. I’m excited to bring that same level of energy, engagement and care to PFG as I work alongside my dad and brothers, Hunter and Brooks, and Nanette, to extend the reach of our practice.
I have a degree in finance from Oklahoma Christian University because I’ve always appreciated what financial planning can make possible for people. After graduating from college, and before coming back to my hometown of Lubbock, I worked for a large financial firm in Oklahoma City.
One of my favorite things to do in life is to get to know people better through conversation. This job requires active listening and lots of dialogue, which I truly enjoy.
I’m lucky in that it’s my job to connect with people, but I also acknowledge that everyone’s time is limited, so it takes some patience to find the right time to connect.
I think it takes openness to be with people. By that I mean that I actually want to talk to people, and I am not afraid to ask questions, to reach out, and to do it all over again. I know from personal experience that when we hear from someone, we may be right in the middle of dealing with our kids, or on the phone with the utility company or whatever else we have going on. The first time I reach out, someone may be really busy, but the next time they may have a free second to have a quick conversation. I’m good at following up and following through.
We can't always decide exactly how things are going to go because life is life, but we can do our best to help people make informed decisions and plan for their future. I'm a huge believer in financial planning and in the tools that the partners use to help people take steps toward the future they want.
My family – both immediate and extended. I love to spend time with them.
A friend gave me some sourdough starter that her mom had going for years, and I’ve managed to keep it alive! I bake a loaf of bread every single week.
